Independent Assessments & Voluntary Commitments
At Ourvita, we believe transparency is fundamental to responsible business. Alongside recognised certifications, we voluntarily participate in leading international sustainability and ethical business initiatives that enable our customers and stakeholders to assess our environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance.
Our approach includes independent assessments, third-party audits and globally recognised voluntary commitments that help drive continuous improvement across our operations and supply chain.
Certified by B Lab, recognising companies that meet high standards of verified social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
Our sustainability management system is independently assessed through EcoVadis, one of the world’s leading business sustainability ratings. The assessment evaluates our performance across four key themes:
- Environment
- Labour & Human Rights
- Ethics
- Sustainable Procurement
The assessment provides an independent benchmark of our ESG performance and helps identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Our manufacturing sites participate in SEDEX and undertake SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) assessments where appropriate.
SMETA audits provide independent verification of responsible business practices, covering areas such as:
- Labour standards
- Health & Safety
- Business Ethics
- Environmental Management
These assessments help demonstrate our commitment to ethical sourcing, responsible manufacturing and supply chain transparency.
Ourvita is committed to supporting the United Nations Global Compact, aligning our business with its Ten Principles covering:
- Human Rights
- Labour
- Environment
- Anti-Corruption
We publicly report our progress through our annual Communication on Progress (CoP), reinforcing our commitment to transparency and continuous improvement.
We recognise that no single framework provides a complete picture of sustainability performance. By combining recognised certifications, independent assessments, ethical audits and voluntary global commitments, we provide customers with confidence that sustainability is embedded throughout our business and continually measured against internationally recognised expectations
