At SupplySide Global 2025, our latest pioneering innovation, ImmuniBurst Gummy, took home the Tasting Award. So we sat down with our formulation scientist behind the winning creation, Wes, to learn more about how it was developed and what makes Ourvita gummies taste so exceptional.

According to Wes, the secret ingredient for creating a delicious flavour, without compromising clean-label standards, is to establish crystal-clear constraints from the very start of the project. That means setting boundaries and expectations early. This allowed our team to carry out deep, focused development to find and optimise the best flavour. Wes went on to tell us that the concept of the flavour actually came from the cocktail, Tequila Sunshine, which consists of half orange and half pomegranate.

Collaboration also played a crucial part in bringing ImmuniBurst to life. Wes explained that the research and development team worked closely together through every stage of flavour testing. But R&D was only the start. Ourvita’s entire operations team then stepped in to transform the concept into a high-quality, fully manufacturable product.

The team had fun developing the gummy too. Wes adds:

“The most fun would be the flavour panel we did in which, I basically just brought a bunch of bottles of different halves of this immuni burst gummy, and everybody just took turns tasting as many as they could.”
